Engineering Enterprises, Inc. is proud to announce that Jerry Mahnke, P.E., has joined its staff as a Senior Project Engineer II in the EEI Transportation Group. Reporting to Kevin Bomstad, P.E., Project Manager, he will be responsible for the construction aspects of transportation projects as well as land development review services.
Jerry is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, cum Laude, where he maintained a 3.55 GPA and was on the Dean’s list each semester of his attendance. He is also a graduate of PACE (Professional Advancement of Career Engineers). He is the recipient of a number of scholarships including the Delyte W. Morris Scholarship, the ASCE William J. Hedley Memorial Scholarship, the SIU Foundation Scholarship and the Illinois General Assembly Scholarship.
Jerry is past president of Tau Beta Pi, the Illinois Epsilon chapter of this national engineering honor society. He is a member of the Ottawa Chapter of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers and is Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) certified. He is past vice-president of the Carbondale Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Jerry’s past experience includes a variety of projects for IDOT and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority such as construction of an Open Road Tolling Plaza at DeKalb; bridge repair; reconstruction of Veteran’s Parkway and US 150 in Bloomington; reconstruction of Interstate 55/74 in Bloomington-Normal; two major interstate rehabilitation projects on Interstate 74 near Leroy, Illinois and a major urban rehabilitation project in Gibson City, Illinois.
