Carole A. Michels, Corporate Secretary

Carole Michels’ career with Engineering Enterprises, Inc. began in 1974. At the founding of the firm, Carole served as Office Manager in the original EEI office located in Elburn., Illinois. She was responsible for the introduction and initial negotiation of the first civil engineering project contracted by the newly formed company.

Carole has participated in numerous committees and organizations that have given recogntion to EEI. She also serves EEI in a human resources capacity, ensuring the recognition of each of the approximately 60 employees at anniversaries and birthdays.

In addition to her duties performed at EEI, Carol is a Licensed Realtor in the State of Illinois and she serves as an agent for Coldwell Banker Leuer Realty in Elburn, Illinois. She is past president/chairperson of the Greater Aurora Association of Realtors, Aurora, Illinois; the Elburn Business Council, Elburn Illinois; and the Kane County Tourism Association, Geneva, Illinois.  In addition, she was the vice chairperson of the Waubonsee Community College Foundation for two years and a member of the Kaneland Foundation.  She was one of seven founders of the Kaneland Community Bank, now the American Bank and Trust, Elburn, Illinois.
